Vernon Police Seeking Information on Friday Bank Robbery

The robbery took place at People's United Bank at the Tri-City shopping plaza.

Vernon Police are looking for help from the public in identifying the person(s) who robbed the People's United Bank in Vernon on June 21, 2013.  Vernon Police will be holding an informational checkpoint on Kelly Road near the Tri-City Plaza during the early morning hours of Saturday June 22 to hand out informational pamphlets and speak with motorists.

Police are looking for help from the public in identifying the person who robbed the People’s United Bank at 35 Talcottville Rd in Vernon on Friday June 21, 2013. 

Detectives would like to speak with anyone who was in the area of the People’s Bank between 5:30 am and 8:30 am on Friday June 21, 2013 and saw anything unusual. We are also interested in speaking to anyone who made an observation in Manchester on Deming Street or Tolland Turnpike near Northwest Park from approximately 8:30 am to 10:30 am. The Robber is identified as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall wearing a black t-shirt over a grey sweatshirt, brown sweatpants and black sneakers. He had a black mask over his face that had eye holes and some kind of glasses underneath the mask. The robber may not have been wearing this clothing during the time before or after the robbery, or may have had an accomplice, so police would like to speak with anyone who saw someone on foot or in a vehicle near the bank between 5:30 am and 8:30 am.
