Police Out in Force to Work on Pharmacy Bandit Case

Detectives are soliciting the public's help.

Police were out on Saturday in the area around the Vernon Walgreens in an effort to reach out to any potential witnesses to an armed robbery at the pharmacy a week earlier.

A reward is being offered in the case.

A man walked into the Walgreens at about 11 a.m. two Saturdays ago, went to the pharmacy window, flashed a handgun and took two trays of prescription medication, police said.

Detectives talked to shoppers at Walgreens and nearby stores and handed out flyers with a description of the suspect, who is believed to be connected to several similar armed robberies in the area.
