Police: Vernon Man Knocks His Brother From Parking Lot to ER

The fight was early Sunday morning, police said.

A Vernon man who was injured in a brawl with his brother did not have to go far to be treated, police said. 

The fracas was in the parking lot of Rockville General Hospital.

Police were called to the hospital for the fight at 2:30 a.m. on Sunday. The Cordero brothers live nearby at 106 Prospect St., according to an arrest report. 

According to an arrest report, 18-year-old Luis, who 5-foot-8 and 210 pounds, spit on his brother, who is 23. The 6-foot, 330-pound Gilberto then punched his brother, police said. Luis was treated at the hospital for minor injuries, police said. Gilberto was also injured but not treated, police said. 

Both brothers were charged with second-degree breach of peace and third-degree assault, according to an arrest report. 

Gilberto was also charged with interfering.
