Strong Family Farm Work Day

Join us for a volunteer event to spruce up the farm for spring at the
Strong Family Farm.  The Strong Family Farm, long a Vernon icon as a historic

farm, is in the process of becoming a non-profit historical and educational

agricultural site.  We need volunteers for a morning of sweeping,

painting, raking lawns, clearing fence lines, labeling farm tools, weed whacking,

shucking gladiola bulbs, cleaning horse harnesses, and more in order to prepare

the farm for Spring activities.

Won’t you begin the journey with us to save the beautiful reminder of our agricultural past?
Please dress appropriately for farm work and bring work
gloves if you have them.
If you have the following tools and can bring them, we can
use:Rakes, step ladders, paint brushes, spin trimmers, goggles.  Also, folding table chairs are needed.
Parking

There is street parking on Peterson Road and maybe the

adjacent school sites.

Please do not park on

the farm property as work vehicles may be entering and exiting.

Potluck Lunch

Why not spend a few minutes with your neighbors and

friends.  Bring a pot luck dish to share (for 8) and have lunch on the

farm.

Dessert will be Mrs. Strong’s Blueberry Buckle

A beverage will be provided.
