Vernon Police Investigate Armed Robbery at Luv Express

Police are looking for a while male believed to have displayed a handgun when he demanded cash from the store clerk.

Vernon Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who allegedly robbed a Luv Express store clerk at gunpoint Saturday morning.

According to police, a lone, white male entered the store at 65 Windsor Ave. at 10:23 a.m. and displayed what is believed to have been a handgun. The unidentified man then fled the store on foot on Route 83 toward Old Town Road with an undisclosed amount of cash.

According to police, the man is described as having an average build, standing at approximately 5 foot, 6 inches tall and weighing between 160 and 170 pounds. He was dressed in black at the time of the robbery.
