The Tankerhoosen Valley in Vernon and Tolland is a special place, one of Connecticut's officially designated Greenways. The purpose of this website is to be a resource for information about the area for those living here and those who enjoy hiking and exploring the area. We are also concerned about preserving, protecting and maintaining the area for ourselves and future generations.

Your host is Jon Roe. I've lived in the Valley since 1963 and have explored much of it, yet constantly find new treasures and delights, both physical and historical.
