The Vernon Youth Baseball Organization board of directors election and annual members meeting is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 13, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Vernon Teen Center, 375 Hartford Turnpike.
The election will take place to fill all board positions listed on the VYBO Web site.
A summary of the organization's work and finances over the past year as well as reports on the current status of the VYBO and its future plans are on the annual meeting agenda.
Anyone interested in sitting on the board of directors, should submit a candidate statement to the Vernon Youth Baseball e-mail address - vybo@comcast.net - or mail a hard copy to VYBO, PO Box 6, Vernon, CT 06066. It should be received no later than October 27.
The candidate statement should be 250 words or less. Candidates should include why they would like to be on the board and what experience and skills they would bring as a member of the board of directors.
Ballots will be mailed by Oct. 31 and members will have the option of voting at the annual meeting on Nov. 13 or by mailing their ballots to VYBO, PO Box 6, Vernon, CT 06066 for receipt no later than Nov. 11.
