Scouts Collect More Than 6,000 Pounds of Food

The items were donated to the food pantry.

Boy Scout Troop 86 has made a major contribution to the Hockanum Valley Community Council's Tri-Town Food Pantry. 

The Scouts hosted their annual "Scouting for Food" drive las month and collected more than 6,000 pounds of food around Vernon for the food pantry. 

Members of the American Legion Post 14 gave the Scouts the usage of their hall and Schneiders Flooring America provided a truck to transport the food to the pantry.
