The American Red Cross is saying it has an emergency need for blood donors.
The following blood drives are scheduled for Vernon in August:
• Friday, Aug. 17 - Fox Hill Nursing & Rehab Center, 12:30 to 5:30 p.m.
• Saturday, Aug. 25 - St. Joseph Church, 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
• Tuesday, Aug. 28 - Vernon Manor, 1:30 to 6:30 p.m.
• Thursday, Aug. 30 - Court House Plus, 1 to 6 p.m.
Appointments can be made by calling 800-RED-CROSS or visiting www.redcrossblood.org.
