Updated: HVCC Culinary Event Scheduled for July 25

The Hockanum Valley Community Council is sponsoring a major fund-raising event entitled, "Experience the Flavor East of the River" on July 25.

Several area food and beverage establishments are participating.

The event is scheduled for 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Santini Grand Lofts Clubhouse, 1085 Hartford Turnpike.

The event is designed to allow local establishments to showcase a sample of their fine beverages and cuisines to benefit the programs of the Hockanum Valley Community Council, Inc.

THe HVCC runs the Tri-Town Food Pantry, among other things.

Guests of the event can relax by the pool or on a cozy couch inside as they experience some of the best flavors that east of the river chefs have to offer.

The regular donation is $36 and a patron-level donation is $50.

The menu inculdes Steak tips, Nova Scotia Salmon, pasta dishes, sliders, beet salad, appetizers, assorted salads, key lime pie, cookies and wine and beer tasting.
