Artists to Paint at Valley Falls Farm on Sunday

The Friends of Valley Falls are sponsoring an "Artists' Day at The Farm” program on Sunday at Valley Falls Farm.

The farm is located at 345 Valley Falls Road in Vernon. 

The “plein air” painting event will feature 25 artists painting on the grounds of Valley Falls Farm.  The public is welcome to view the artists at work from noon to p.m.  

An auction of the paintings will follow at 3:30 p.m. in the historic red barn. Artists will also be displaying other works for purchase in the red barn.

Music by Judy Handler and Mark Levesque on guitar and mandolin will be played from 1 to 3 p.m.  Parking is available in the parking lot of Valley Falls Park.  A shuttle van will be available. 

The event is sponsored by the Vernon Parks and Recreation Department and the Vernon Arts Commission.
 
Valley Falls Farm is a local historic property, and is knows for its hillside vistas. 

The 8-acre farm and seven outbuildings were saved when the Friends of Valley Falls purchased the property in 2001. The buildings include a stable and herb gardens, maintained by the Vernon Garden Club.
