In a New York State of Mind

Beth chronicles adventures in the big city with her daughter and one of our stylists, Jamie!

VT staff are taking advantage of learning from the best in the business at the Redken Exchange on 5th Avenue in the heart of Manhattan.

Last week Jamie Patten and I traveled to NYC where Jamie took a course at the prestigious Redken Exchange on color.  The class was called “Color & Know Why!”  During this week long extensive class Jamie studied, along with stylists from across the country, the latest in color techniques and technology.  Already she has been putting into practice what she learned at the Salon with her clients.

While in New York we had some fun taking in the sites and sounds of the city.  I brought my 11-year-old daughter, Ellie, along for the trip.  We dined at the famous chocolate restaurant Max Brennen’s…I highly recommend the chocolate fondue!  We had Italian in Little Italy, rode the subway, toured NBC studios and spend the day browsing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.  What an amazing city!

Jamie squeezed in a little time to catch a Broadway show and saw Annie… and even got to meet some of the cast at a nearby restaurant before the show!!

We get excited about education and learning new things at the Velvet Touch.  We want to continue to grow personally and professionally.  We hope this post inspires you to do the same!!

Go out late a "night", when it is very quite, call his name. I have found many cats thisRead More way, because house cats don't like a lot of noise and are very afraid. Your cat is hiding, will be afraid to come out. Look in areas were there is woods, secluded areas.
