RHS Students Commended by Merit Scholarship Program

The announcement was on Friday.

Three Rockville High school students have been recognized in the 2014 National Merit Scholarship program. 

RHS Principal Andrew Rockett made the announcement on Friday. 

Brian Bilek, Alyssa Condon and Andrew Uzdejczyk have been named as commended students. 

About 34,000 students nationwide achieved commended status. Although they will not continue in the 2014 competition former scholarship awards, the RHS students placed among the top 5 percent of the 1.5 million students who entered the competition by taking the 2012 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
