Early Dismissal for Vernon Schools on Thursday
It is the first day back from the holiday break.
Mother Nature is also returning to school after the holiday break.
A winter storm expected to intensify on Thursday afternoon has prompted school officials to activate the early dismissal schedule.
That means no afternoon pre-K.
Here is the official message:
Good Morning.
This is Mary Conway, Superintendent of Schools in Vernon. In anticipation of heavy snow this afternoon, Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, the Vernon Public Schools will dismiss students according to the established early release schedule. I repeat, schools today, Thursday, Jan. 2, will close early according to the established schedule for your school.
