Participants Piling into the Mix for Vernon's National Night Out

On Aug. 7, the Rockville Community Alliance, in conjunction with the Vernon Police Department, the Vernon Parks and Recreation Department and the Vernon Community Network will be sponsoring the National Night Out in downtown Rockville.

The event is on tap for 5 to 8 p.m.

National Night Out is geared toward families and attracts thousands to Downtown Rockville each summer. National Night Out features free entertainment, free exhibits, free demonstrations and free food.

National Night Out will be celebrated in communities all across the nation that evening.

The rain date is Aug. 8.

Anyone wishing to stage a booth can download an application at  www.RockvilleCommunityAlliance.org.
