Here are the latest Little League Highlights.
District 8 11-12 Tournament
Vernon 9, Windsor 8
Vernon (1-1) jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead on Brian Gardiner's first inning home run , and never lost the lead.
Vernon held off a last inning rally by Windsor (0-2).
Dylan Andrews earned the win for Vernon, while Igor Aliczi pitched well in relief.
Vernon led 9-4 going into the sixth inning when Windsor rallied to cut
the lead to one run after a long home run by Nathaniel Vezina.
Jake Cichon came in to no pitch and retired the first batter he faced to earn the
save.
Zachary Sargeant scored three runs for Vernon, and Jason Abrahamson
scored two. Nine different Vernon players had at least one hit.
For Windsor, Isaac McCormick went 2-for-2, including a two-run homer in the second inning. Jacob Farrell had two extra-base hits.

Stafford 11, Rockville 1
Travis Hart struck out 9 and allowed one hit,
Justin Grant hit a two run home-run and Matt Papp had four hits for Stafford.
Jordan Thurston pitched well for Rockville and Francis Collin had the only hit.
