In the first game of Little League action in District 8 Pool Play, Manchester American defeated Rockville 6-1.
Jay Frankovitch threw fouer shutout innings before leaving with a 6-0 lead. Ryan Nesbit started the ball rolling for Manchester with a two-run home run. He alse went 2 for 2 for the night. Danny Hernandez contributed offensively for Manchester as well with two hits and two runs. Lisandro Maysonet and Evan Wisz both made to key defensive plays.

Playing well for Rockville were Jimmy Petrella in relief, Nick Murphy, with a nice drive to knock in Rockville's first run, and JeQuan Hutchins, whose speed robbed two Manchester batters of extra base hits with nice catches.
