RHS Girls Track and Field Team Puts Up 33 Points With Just 12 Athletes

Team's roster decimated by vacation week.

The Rockville High School girls track and field team dropped a 115-33 meet at home to E.O. Smith on Monday. 

The Rams had only 12 athletes available because of April vacation.

For Rockville,  Jenny Mears won the javelin with a throw of 190-feet, 11 inches. She also took third the triple jump.

Kelly Walker took second by just a tenth-of-a-second in the 100-meter hurdles,  but won the 300-meter hurdles in 50.32 seconds and the 200 meters with a season best time of 27.78 seconds.

Shayla Shoeneberger took second in the the 3,200 meters with a season best and personal best time of 13:03.

Courtney Wheeler: took first in the shot put with a personal best and Ram season best of 25 feet, 6 inches, while Lauren Kidd placed second.
