In boys soccer on Friday, it was Platt 5 Rockville High 4.
Scoring for Rockville were Manone Adoyi, Zach Peters, Tyler Beaulieu and Jesse Roy.
Coach's comments: "Rockville controlled the tempo of the game, however we made a few mistakes where Platt was able to capitalize on. Goal keepers for both teams saw some action and made a number of great saves. We look forward to playing Platt again next year."
In girls soccer, PLatt defeated Rockville 6-0.
Coach's comments: "Rockville started very strong closing Plainville on their own half for the first 15 minutes. Finally Plainville countered and scored their first goal. After that Rockville could not find their rhythm.
"At times Rockville played very well organized and passionate soccer but that was not enough to stop Plainville. Rockville's midfield formation had a decent performance with Winona Scheff, Sarah Kline, Rachel Silver, and Morgan Skoly who worked extremely hard all game long creating many scoring opportunities.
"Lindsey Tarro had a solid performance showing that she has tremendous potential and that she is improving with every game. I give a lot of props to Megan Hasty who showed a lot of team spirit and character agreeing to play in goal to help the team."
