Two area student-athletes were part of the Southern Connecticut State University 4x400-meter relay team that set a school record at Saturday's New England meet in Boston, the school's athletics Web site has announced.
The time was 3:49.58.
The 4x400 relay team consists of Nyoshee Lowry of Danbury; Ashley Bell of Riverhead, N.Y.; Rachel Van Gilder of Enfield; and Brittany Niemczyk of Vernon.
