Football is Back at Rockville High School

It was the 2013 opener.

Football returned to Rockville High School on Friday.

The Rams took on E.O. Smith, but the night was more than a game.

It was an event.

Activities included a bouncy house, a jousting arena and a dunk tank.

Those getting dunked included principals like James Harrison from Vernon Center Middle School and Andrew Rockett from RHS. Rockett even sported a suit for the occasion.

Democratic candidate for Mayor Thomas DiDio and Republican candidate Dan Champagne even tasted the water.

Speaking of taste, the Ram Burger made its debut out of the new mobile concession stand recently acquired by the school system and run by the RHS Football Booster Club for the night.

The RHS Marching Ram Band performed, as did the RHS cheerleaders and the colors were presented by the Vernon Fire Department.

E.O. Smith prevailed on the field 35-16.
