BCR Hockey Team Off to a 3-0 Start

The team won an OT thriller on Saturday.

The Bolton-Coventry-Rockville hockey team took on Newington-Berlin-Manchester on Saturday at the Newington Arena and prevailed 2-1 in overtime. 

The game was a rematch of the state Division III championship game last season. 

Bruce Smith scored the game-winner unassisted with NBM on a power play. 
Here is the scoring summary: 

1st period

No scoring.

2nd period

NBM- Matt Roberts from Don McLeod and Tyler Mangiafico, 7:40.

3rd period

BCR- Paul Bates from Eddie Bates, 11:04.

Overtime

Bruce Smith, unassisted (short-handed goal).

BCR goalie Connor McGrath made 22 saves. NBM goalie Thomas Wood had 20 saves.

BCR is now 3-0 and NBM fell to 3-3.

BCR is scheduled to play St. Bernard-Bacon Academy-NFA on Wednesday at 4
p.m. at Norwich Arena.
