Plan B and its impact on the State Library and you!

Why the Plan B State budget will impact patrons of local libraries.

As part of the Plan B budget from the Governer's office, all funding for the Connecticut State Library will be cut which means they will also lose federal monies and have to close. Please click on this link to see a complete list of services that will be lost to patrons;

The biggest impact locally is that patrons will no longer be able to use their card in libraries  other than their hometown library(Connnecticard program) and will not be able to request books from other libraries to be delivered to their local library (Connecticar program). The iConn databases will not be available for librarians, teachers, and students to do research.  If these services are important to you, please contact your local legislator and let them know.
