"Seniorhood" Fair Success

State Senator Tony Guglielmo (R-Stafford) recently attended the "Seniorhood" resource fair at the Vernon Center Middle School.  The event was sponsored by The Vernon Multidisciplinary Team and called “Seniorhood." Seniors, adults and caregivers were able to get information about everyday life issues.  Senator Guglielmo, an active senior in the community stopped by the CERT table to visit with volunteers.  The CERT, Community Emergency Resource Team helps provide safety and security information to seniors and adults in the district.

 

The Vernon Multidisciplinary Team consists of a group of Vernon area service providers including the Vernon Police Department, ambulance, probate court, Hockanum Valley Community Council, visiting nurses, Vernon Housing Authority, Legal Aid, Vernon Senior Center and other organizations which come together with the mission of providing stability to seniors and adults.
