Vernon Woman Facing More Charges

She is due in court on March 5, police said.

A Vernon woman has now been charged with crimes each of the past two winters.

The latest incident involving Erica Chambers took place at 6:44 p.m. Sunday night when the 26-year-old was backing out of her driveway at 93 Windsor Ave., police said.

She was driving while under suspension and hit another vehicle, police said.

That incident led to driving under suspension and unsafe backing charges, police said.

Chambers then tried to run inside the house and an officer had to pull her out to take her into custody, police said.

That landed her an resisting arrest charge, police said.

Her bond was set at $1,000 with a March 5 court date, police said.

In December 2011, Chambers was arrested on drug and risk of injury to a child charges.

In January 2012, she was booked on a failure to appear in court charge.
