Vernon Superintendent to Conduct Informal Informational Gatherings

The meetings have been dubbed the Superintendent's Coffee Connection.

Superintendent of Schools Mary Conway is treating the town to tea and coffee.

One school at a time.

Conway is initiating a new program she has dubbed the superintendent's "Coffee Connection." It is a series of informal gatherings designed to give parents, school staff members and members of the community and chance to chat and ask questions about Vernon's public schools, she said.

She said she will also give updates on the school system during the meetings.

The first Superintendent's Coffee Connection is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 4, at , 69 East St. It will take place in the cafeteria from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m.

Conway will conduct a Coffee Connection at each of the town's schools.

Other dates for the Superintendent's Coffee Connection will be publicized well in advance, Conway said.
