Vernon Students Taking on Earth Day Challenge

And the winning school will get the superintendent's trophy.

The latest round of the Superintendent's Challenge to Vernon students is taking on an environmental twist.

And celebrating Earth Day.

Earth Day is April 22 and from now until the end of that week - Friday, April 26 - Superintendent of Schools Mary Conway is asking students to fill out a form describing "how you are changing the world by going green in school and at home."

The school that turns in the most Earth Day challenge forms will be awarded the Superintendent's Challenge trophy, Conway said.

The challenge form asks the students to complete, "I promise to help the Earth by …"
