Vernon School Board to Discuss Skinner Road Principal Candidate on Monday

The meeting is slated for 7 p.m.

A Leading candidate has emerged for the vacant principal's position at Skinner Road School.

The application of Sandye Simon, the current special education director of the Lebanon public school system, is scheduled to be discussed at the Monday Board of Education meeting.

The position has been vacant since January, when Kristie Bourdoulous resigned. It was advertised immediately.

The school board meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the education administration building. The board will likely discuss the candidacy in executive session first and then in open session.

• A performance by the Rockville High School Carolers Group in honor of Board Member Appreciation Month.

• A celebration of World Language Month at RHS.

• RHS student representative report.

• Discussion of Winter Universal Screening data - Student Risk Screening Data.

• Donations:

1. A donation of $1,000 by Adam Weissberger and the local State Farm agency to the RHS Class of 2014 to offset a deposit potentially lost in the La Renaissance foreclosure proceedings.

2. Donation from Walgreens to the school system.
