The Vernon Center Middle School girls basketball team had a chance to experience playing on a big-time court on Saturday.
VCMS had a chance to play Wheeler Middle School of North Stonington at Eastern Connecticut State University. The game was played prior to the afternoon game between Eastern and Plymouth State University. Eastern's Athletic Department and the women's basketball program hosted the middle school game.
The ECSU team joined the players' families and friends to watch the game.
VCMS is coached by Dianne Grimaldi and Wheeler is coached by Darren Robert.
After the game, Eastern’s team joined the two teams for a picture on the court.

The team was featured in a prelim at ECSU.
