Vernon Center Middle School's girls cross country team had another successful meet this week - a win over Ellington, 22-36, on Tuesday.
Chelsea Chattertton led the way with a personal best of 14:28.

She was followed by Kyleigh Percy (16:01), Katie Geisinger (16:22), Amber Wiggins (16:26), and Laura Dawson (16:46).
The VCMS boys team was defeated in a tough battle. Scoring points for the team were Chris Galat (14:33), Max St. Germain (16:21), Kevin Kozak (17:10), Ryan Main (16:37), and Ray Tonioni (17:22).
The team's next meet is Oct. 2 against Timothy Edwards in South Windsor.
