Several Teachers have announced their retirements, effective at the end of the current school year.
The retirements were officially announced at Monday's Board of Education meeting.
Those retiring include:
• Priscilla Bard, health and physical education teacher, Vernon Center Middle School.
• Catherine Earley, language arts teacher, VCMS.
• Debra Gag, art teacher, Center Road School.
• Yvonne Gerner, Grade 4 teacher, Lake Street School.
• Lois Hornyak, kindergarten teacher, Center Road School.
• Karen Kelly, reading teacher, Skinner Road School.
• Patricia LaPointe,, special education facilitator, VCMS.
• Barbara McNamar, Grade 2 teacher, Northeast School.
• Maureen Pybus, Grade 1 teacher, Center Road School.
• Sarah Smith, science teacher, Rockville High School.
• Ann Veniscofsky, Grade 1 teacher, Lake Street School.
