School Starts in Vernon
Wednesday's first day was for students making transitions. All students to report to school on Thursday.
Buses were rolling along the roads of Vernon on a sunny Wednesday morning.
Children were walking along the sidewalks.
Parents were giving out hugs.
And the photo ops were abundant.
Yes, the school year has begun.
The Wednesday start date was for elementary school and transitional students - those in Grades K through 6, and Grade 9. Many students took part in orientation sessions and went through a simulated class schedule.
On Thursday, all students are scheduled to report to classes.
