School Board Adopts Budget Schedule, New Fiscal Priorities
The budget meetings are slated to begin in January.
The Board of Education this week adopted two major budgetary priorities.
The are:
• "Extend the school day to support students and extend opportunities to continue learning opportunities for students throughout the summer months."
• Implement full-day kindergarten.
The school board has scheduled a meeting for January 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the administration for the purpose of presenting the superintendent's proposed budget for the 2013-14 fiscal year.
A public comment session is slated for the end of that meeting.
