Ram Scoreboard: Rockville Gets a Split in Cross Country, Loses in Soccer

Two runners record personal bests.

The Rockville High School girls soccer team had some trouble with the wet conditions on Tuesday night and fell to Fermi 5-0 at home.

Fermi grabbed a 2-0 lead in the first half.

Sarah Provencher, Shannon Lipe and Colleen Donahue had some quality minutes for Rockville.

Ram goalkeeper Jenny Mears had nine saves. 

Stephanie Wence scored three times for Fermi. Andrea Colca and Rae-Ann Brodeur also scored for Fermi. Michelle Cunha had two saves in the Fermi goal.



The RHS Boys cross country team is now at 2-4 on the season after a split with Bloomfield and RHAM.

The Rams will run again at the Wickham Invitational meet on saturday.

The tri-meet scores were:

• RHS 23, BHS 32

• RHAM 16, RHS 47

Steven Tarro was again Rockville's first runner to finish the race as he placed fifth 5th overall.  He passed multiple RHAM runners over the last 300 meters of the course to record a personal best time of 19:21.    

John Eppes was the next Rockville runner to finish, taking 13th overall with a personal best of 20:53.

RHAM had nine runners in the top 10 places for its 16 points.
