RMS Hockey Team Gets a Win

United puts 50 shots on the Fitch net.

Rockville/Manchester/Stafford United put itself back in the win column on Wednesday with a 5-1 win over Fitch in a high school hockey contest.

In the first period, Angus Deane scored from Chris Cargos at 5:03 and then from J.R. Piretti at 7:52 for RMS.

After a scoreless second period, Dan Hansen found the net from Patrick Mix and Chris Stauder at 2:03 to make it 3-0.

Fitch's Travis Kani scored from from Peter Gonski at 6:44 to make it 3-1.

For United, T.J. Bonomo scored on an assist from Hansen at 12:45 and Seth Alexanderowicz scored on assists by Piretti and Ryan Hasselberger at 13:40.
 
Sharing time in goal for United were Daelon Carnelli in the first period, Thomas Wood in the second and Matt Roy in the third.

Fitch took four shots total and scored on one of them.

Fitch Goalie Aiden Burns made 45 saves.
 
RMS is now 3-4, while Fitch fell to 0-6.

RMS United plays in-rink rival Bolton/Coventry/Lyman Memorial on Friday at 8:30pm at the Bolton Ice Palace. RMS will be the visitor.
