Girls Soccer
In a game played at Southington, Rockville lost, 6-1 to open the season.
Southington led 2-0 at halftime.
Shelby Barnes had 10 saves in goal for Rockville. Sarah Caisse had four saves for Southington.
Michelle Correia scored off an assist from Haley Hasty for Rockville.
Erica Kosienski (two goals), Nicole Wershover (two goals), Alyssa Lombardi and Sarah Palko scored for Southington.
Sarah Provencher, Sarah Vincze, Alexis Pariseau and Morgan Skoly played well for Rockville.

Girls Volleyball
Rockville dropped a 3-0 match to E.O. Smith in Storrs to open the season.
The game scores were 25-19, 25-15, 25-4.
Danielle Wemmell has seven kills for Rockville while Kayley Crooke had 15 service points for E.O. Smith.
E.O. Smith travels down Route 195 to take on Windham on Wednesday while Rockville is slated to host Bloomfield on Friday.
