RHS Boys Soccer Squad Looking to Improve

And so far, there have been signs.

The Rockville High School boys soccer team needs to improve on its 0-15 season of a year ago, and so far during the preseason, the Rams have shown signs of that improvement, Coach Jamie Bunker said.

"Our defense seems to be stronger than last season as we have players that have recovered from injuries that kept them from playing last season," Bunker sassed. "How well our defense can keep us in games will be key to how successful we are."

The RHS offense is young with Senior Danny Moncada beanbag the long upperclassman who will see time on the offensive end. He will be joined by a pair of freshmen and four sophomores.

Captain Connor McCullough on the defensive end and Matt Beauieu at  midfield are the other returning seniors for RHS.

"We are still in a bit of a rebuilding mode but we should be improved from a year ago," Bunker said.

The Rams are scheduled to open the season today when they host New Britain at 3:45 p.m.
