Rams Pull Off Baseball Upset Against Bristol Eastern
The Rockville High School baseball team advances to the second round of the state tournament.
The Rockville High School baseball team, ranked No. 22 in the Conncticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference Class L tournament, strunned No. 11 Bristol Eastern 1-0 on Tuesday at Muzzy Field in the first round.
Tyler Glidden had an RBI double to produce the only run of the game.
Patrick Witham picked up the shutout win, He pitched a complete game while allowing just four hits.

Rockville had two solid defensive plays.
Center fielder Kevin Babcock threw out a runner at third base and Chris Watts ended the game by diving to snag a hard ground ball at third and jumped back up to throw the ball across the diamond to get the runner out at first.

Babcock and Bryan Leonard also added doubles for Rockville.
The Rams will travel to Milford today for a second-round game against the sixth-ranked Lions of Joseph Foran High School.
