Former Partners Square Off on the Ice

Rockville's new co-op falls to Manchester's in a battle of unbeaten teams.

It had all the makings of a classic on Thursday.

Former co-op hockey partners Rockville and Manchester - now teamed up with Bolton/Coventry and Newington/Berlin respectively - were now competing against each other.

And they both entered the game with 5-0 records.

In what BCR coach Christian Stevenson called "a good high school hockey game," it was a second-period power play goal that made the difference in a 1-0 NBM win.

Tyler Aldieri scored that lone goal when he converted a pass from Hunter Blais at the 7:14 mark of the second.

NBM goaltender Drew O'Leary was peppered with 37 shots, but did not let one go in. BCR goaltender Cameron Earle made 22 saves

"We outshot them and controlled most of the game but could not get one by their keeper," Stevenson said.

BCR is scheduled to host Joel Barlow Saturday night at 7:45 at the Bolton Ice palace.
