Cross Country Season Slated to Begin Today

The Rams will travel to RHAM.

The Rockville High School boys cross country team is scheduled for a season-opening meet today at RHAM and the Rams will be competing against RHAM and EO Smith.

The gun is slated to go off at 3:45.

The boys squad consists of 11 members, including some who are brand new to running.

Coach Lauren McCarthy said that after a recent scrimmage against Capital Prep, the Rams' top runner looks to be Junior, Sean O'Gara.

The second and third spots should be occupied by Steven Tarro, a senior, and junior Adam Barsaleau.

"We hope to be competitive with RHAM while trying to keep EOs top runners in our sight," McCarthy said. "Both teams always pose a great challenge.  The team's overall goal is to improve individual times more than the overall outcome of the meet."
