School Board Members Make it Official
Two weeks after the majority of the members were elected to serve on the board, they were sworn into office.
The new school board has officially taken its seat.
Tuesday evening, in front of families, friends and the public school officials, six Board of Education members took an oath to serve the school system and the community to the best of their abilities.

Those who took the oath, administered by Vernon Town Clerk Bernice Dickson in the , include elected members Michele Arn, Laura Bush, Amarjit Buttar, Terri Goldich, Dean Houle, and David Kemp and appointed member William Nicholson, who is filling the remaining term of former board member George Apel who was recently elected as Vernon’s mayor.
The Board of Education will hold a its next meeting on Monday, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. on the third floor of the administration building.
