BCR Wins CCC South Title

The state Division III tourney is up next.

The Bolton/Coventry/Rockville hockey team won the CCC South conference championship over the weekend with a 6-0 win over vs Hall/Southington in a game played at Trinity College.

BCR and Hall/Southington were the regular season CCC South co-champs.

BCR fired 34 shots on H/S goalie Jeff Moore.

"It was important to the players to win the conference tournament. Hopefully any momentum we gained today will stay with us as we head into the state tournament this week when it really counts," BCR coach Christian Stevenson said. 

Byram, a defenseman, had four assists.

BCR, with a 17-1-2 regular season record, is the No. 3 seed in the state Division III tournament. The teams scheduled to take on No. 6 E.O. Smith-Tolland-Windham, 11-8-1, on Thursday at Trinity. The face-off is TBA.
