As a parent and former hockey coach, I want to thank the players and coaches of BCR for their display of sportsmanship on Wednesday night. By way of full disclosure, I am a proud parent of Tyler Luke. But there are others on the BCR team who deserve recognition, specifically JR Piretti, Liam McGrath, and Michael Leardi - who frequently patted Tyler's head with a "Good save" comment during the game. We are having our difficulties this season, but the players, superb coaches, and parents are fully committed to our team. Thank you BCR and specifically Coach Stevenson for his comments. They are very well-received by Tyler and our Coaching staff. Regards, Dave Luke, President of the Fitch/East Lyme/Ledyard Hockey Club, President of the NorthEastern Midget Hockey League, and most importantly, Dad of Tyler Luke.
