Here is the latest notice from the Vernon Department of Public Works Regarding Trash and recycling collection this week:
"Due to the ongoing cleanup from the weekend blizzard, all refuse and recycling collection WILL BE SUSPENDED until Friday (2/15), when normal collection routes are resumed. Due to the Presidents Day holiday, Monday’s (2/18) refuse and recycling will be picked up on Tuesday (2/19), along with Tuesday’s regular collection.
The Transfer Station will be open Monday and Tuesday (2/11 and 2/12) for EXCESS REFUSE and RECYCLING ONLY from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The Transfer Station will be open as normal on Wednesday (2/13) from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and will accept excess refuse and recycling with NO PUNCH CARD REQUIRED."
