No Trash, Recycling Pickups on Good Friday
No recycling will be picked up for Thursday and Friday.
The Vernon Public Works Department will be closed on Friday, April 6, in observance of Good Friday.
Trash will not be collected on that day but instead will be collected on Thursday, April 5 along with that day's normal refuse collection. Recycling will not be collected at all along the Thursday and Friday routes that week.
Public Works Director Robert Kleinhans suggested that residents plan in advance and have recycling collected the week before.
Excess trash and recycling may be brought to the Transfer Station free of charge on Wednesdays and Saturdays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays noon to 4 p.m.
