The Vernon Public Works Department will be closed on Friday, in observance of Good Friday.
Trash will not be collected on that day but instead will be collected on Thursday, along with that day's normal refuse collection, DPW officials said. Recycling will not be collected at all along the Thursday and Friday routes that week.
Excess trash and recycling may be brought to the Transfer Station free of charge on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m.
