No Trash Collection in Vernon on Presidents Day
The DPW chief has announced the schedule.
The Vernon Department of Public Works will be closed on Monday, Feb 18, in observance of Presidents Day.
Trash and recycling will not be collected on that day. They will instead be picked up the following day - Tuesday, Feb. 19, along with that day's regular collection, Public EWorks Director Robert Kleinhans said.
Excess trash and recycling may be brought to the Transfer Station free of charge year-round on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m., he said.
The Transfer Station will be closed on Sunday, Feb 17, Kleinhans said.
