A total of $318,353 worth of new staffing has been included in the $51.88 million school system budget proposal for the 2013-14 fiscal year.

Maple Street School
• 1.0 position equivalent kindergarten teacher (for the proposed full-day program) - $53,000.
• Community School coordinator - $24,070.
Northeast School
• 1.5 position equivalent kindergarten teacher (for the proposed full-day program) - $78,000.
Vernon Center Middle School
• .2 position equivalent family and consumer science teacher - $11,101.
Rockville High School
• .2 position equivalent art teacher - $8,256.
• .2 position equivalent music teacher - $10,000.
• Alternative learning teacher - $53,000.
• Assistant football coach - $4,920.
• Freshman girls volleyball coach - $3,917.
Superintendent of Schools Mary Conway said the football roster is well into the 40s and volleyball coach Kimberly Marinan is currently coaching all three teams in addition to her RHS guidance position.
• Security guard - $22,088.
• Benefits - $50,000.
