Mayor: Wendy's Exploring Options in Vernon
Wendy's could be the next fast-food option in town.
In terms of fast food chains, Vernon has two McDonald's and two Burger Kings. It has a KFC.
It has national sub shops and a lot of Dunkin' Donuts.
And Wendy's could be added to that list shortly.

Mayor Jason McCoy on Tuesday said that executives from Wendy's are exploring their options regarding expansion into Vernon. McCoy said a preferred site has not been disclosed.
That was not the only piece of economic development news he spoke about at Tuesday's Town Council meeting. McCoy said that a national small-box retailer is also exploring options in town.
He said he could not be specific because of ongoing discussions.
McCoy said the owner of a self-storage facility is also looking at parcels.
He said the former Bennigans building on Hartford Turnpike is ''under deposit'' and a deal should be in place to fill that vacancy by the end of the month.
