Mayor Touts Key Hyundai Owner for Bookmobile Sponsorship and Summer Lunch Organizer

Mayor George Apel on Tuesday publicly thanked Key Hyundai owner Jill Merriam for sponsoring this summer's Vernon Bookmobile and Kim Daughtie for her leadership withthe Summr Lunch Program.
Proclamations were read alound during the Town Council meeting.
The lunch program took part in several locations throughout town. Doughtie is the manager of the Parkwest apartment complex.

Merrian, famous for her "Dealer for the People" ads, wrote a check for $1,900 to fund the bookmobile, which carried about 5,000 volumes to various areas around town.
